The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially flagged off registration for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) admission exercise, opening a fresh opportunity for qualified candidates seeking university admission.

In a statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) page, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board announced that the sale of Direct Entry application documents began on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will run until Saturday, April 25, 2026.
The Board made it clear that all aspects of the registration process — including the purchase of e-PINs and application forms — must be completed strictly at its accredited state and zonal offices nationwide. Candidates are strongly advised to avoid unauthorized centres to prevent errors or fraud.
The Direct Entry pathway is designed for candidates who already possess advanced qualifications such as a National Diploma (ND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) certificate, A-Level results, or other approved equivalents. Successful applicants can secure admission directly into 200 level in Nigerian universities, bypassing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This development comes shortly after the Board concluded the 2026 UTME registration exercise, which officially closed on February 28.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to act promptly and ensure they meet all requirements before the April 25 deadline.
