Before the Exam
- Print your JAMB slip (contains date, time, and center)
- Go to your CBT center at least 1 hour early
- Bring:
- Your registration slip
- Acceptable ID (if required)
- Do NOT bring:
- Phones
- Smart watches
- Bags or unauthorized materials
At the CBT Centre
- You’ll be assigned a computer system
- Login details will be given (or already set)
- A supervisor will guide you briefly
Exam Format
- 4 subjects total
- Usually 180 questions
- Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
How to Use the CBT System
Keyboard Controls
- A, B, C, D → Select answer
- ← / → (Arrow keys) → Move between questions
- Enter → Confirm answer
- Backspace → Remove selected answer
Mouse Controls
- Click options to answer
- Click:
- Next → Go forward
- Previous → Go back
- Flag → Mark for review
On the Screen You Will See
- Question number
- Answer options (A–D)
- Timer counting down ⏳
- Question palette (shows answered/unanswered)
Important Exam Rules
- No negative marking (attempt all questions)
- Once time ends, the system submits automatically
- You can change answers anytime before submission
